Lesson Costs
Lessons costs can increase your price up to 20% per person at some mountains Take this into consideration when choosing a mountain especially if you have a lot of beginners. Lesson costs are an important piece of the puzzle when deciding on which mountain you are going to ski.
Beginner ski and snowboard lesson prices can range from free to in excess of $100.
From half day lessons to private lessons the costs and options vary. Some half day lessons, which are usually cheaper only start in the afternoon in an attempt to get you to take the higher priced full day lesson. The full day lesson, however, is not always a bad deal. Look at the price and the value you are getting for that price.
If you are on a budget, we recommend looking into a mountain like Sunlight which offers a free half day lesson or Winter Park that offers a $49 full day group ski lesson.
Half day lessons teach basic skills like snowplowing, stopping, and getting on and off the lift. For more instruction a full day lesson is encouraged to keep your beginners on easy slopes and away from peer pressure.
