High Point has been sending people skiing for a long time. One pattern we have seen over the years is that Christmas moves by a day each year and allows for some great opportunities right before Christmas about 40% of the time. This is one of those years.

With Christmas on a Saturday, most schools will get out on Friday December 17th, giving groups and families a full week to get in a ski trip before Christmas Day.

Let's be honest, though, leaving for a few days right before Christmas sounds hectic. Time is not the reason to go Pre-Christmas, money is. Almost any time kids are out of school rates are high. The entire travel industry plans it that way. However, about 50% of the time, right before Christmas, everything is about 50% off in Colorado at a time that you can actually go.

So this is one of those special years. Book your trip starting on December 18 or 19, get ample time for a relaxed ski trip before Christmas Day, and get 50% off. You can't beat it and it only happens every few years.
